Saint Berdoodle PUPPIES Pricing

*ALL PUPPIES ARE THE SAME PRICE REGARDLESS OF COLOR OR SIZE

Puppy Price

$3000
Each puppy comes with a 2-year health guarantee and is raised using Puppy Culture methods. Puppies receive a vet check at 3 days old, during which hind dewclaws are removed, and another vet check at 7 weeks before going home. Each puppy is microchipped with a Reunite chip, dewormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks (using Nemex), and receives their first Parvo vaccine (Nobivac) at 8 weeks. We also provide 30-day complimentary Trupanion coverage and a full puppy package.

Around 4 weeks of age, we begin crate and potty training. Our puppies are raised around children and, once old enough, are socialized with our other house dogs. Contact us to schedule a visit and meet your new best friend!

When searching for a responsible, quality breeder, it is crucial that proper health testing is clearly reported for both the sire and the dam. Keep in mind:

  • Health testing requirements vary by breed

  • Results should never be hidden or incomplete

  • Claims of "stolen documentation" are not valid excuses—OFA is a public database

  • Embark DNA testing alone does not equal full health testing

  • Selective testing does not qualify as complete

  • Results should always be transparent and available

Purchasing from breeders who do not follow proper health standards supports shortcuts and undermines those committed to doing things the right way.

If one of my dogs does not pass their health testing, they are spayed or neutered and remain a part of my family. Health testing should be the foundation of every breeding program, alongside a thorough evaluation of each dog’s temperament.

What counts as a "passing" health-tested dog?

  • Hips: OFA — Excellent, Good, or Fair = Passing
PENNHIP — Based on result interpretation

  • Elbows: Pass/Fail

  • DNA: Breed-specific tests must pass.
Carriers can be bred responsibly only when:

    • The trait is not life-threatening

    • It does not express harm to the dog or offspring

    • The mate is not also a carrier

    • The breeding is discussed with a vet

  • Eyes: Pass/Fail

  • Heart: Pass/Fail

A word on seizures:

Saint Bernards are genetically predisposed to seizures. Unfortunately, there is no specific genetic test for this. The best prevention is understanding and avoiding affected bloodlines. This is where experienced breeders provide invaluable insight. Still, environmental factors also play a role-mold, plants, medications (human or pet), pest control, poisons, air pollutants, etc.

Some breeders claim it's acceptable to breed dogs with mild to moderate hip dysplasia if there are no symptoms. This is absolutely unethical. Do not be misled by justifications like:

  • "They don’t show symptoms"

  • "They live normal lives"

  • "Staying lean helps"

  • "Exercise helps strengthen the joints"

While those points may help manage symptoms, they do not justify breeding dogs that fail to meet health standards. Breeding dogs with poor hips puts future generations at risk. Even dogs with excellent hips can develop arthritis in old age—but we should always aim to lower those risks through ethical, responsible breeding.

We reserve the right to decline a sale if we feel the match between the puppy and potential owner is not in the best interest of either. In such cases, the deposit will be fully refunded.
